U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert did not disclose her husband’s consulting income in your annual personal financial disclosure report this year, listing his earnings as “N/A” (as in not applicable) in the filing Saturday.
Boebert faced intense criticism last year after he filed a statement showing that Jayson Boebert, through Boebert Consulting LLC, earned nearly $1 million from Terra Energy Partners over a two-year period, information that was not published when first presented to Congress in 2020. .
Terra Energy Partners has a strong Western Slope presence, and Boebert, whose district stretches across the Western Slope to Pueblo, has been a fierce supporter of the oil and gas industry. Terra Energy told The Colorado Sun last year that Jayson Boebert had worked as an on-site drilling foreman for them since 2017.
The Sun reported that Boebert’s name appeared on business documents linked to the consultancy, although his name was later redacted. Boebert’s office said last year that the congresswoman does not work for the consulting firm, but did not say whether she owned it.
Boebert is not required to list her husband’s exact income on her personal financial disclosure, only his sources of income.

“A filer must report the source, but not the amount, of income earned by a spouse when that income exceeds $1,000.” he says the United States House of Representatives Ethics Committee page on member-specific disclosure requirements.
Boebert’s congressional office did not respond Tuesday to a question about why the congresswoman listed her husband’s exact income and the company that paid Boebert Consulting for last year’s financial disclosure, but did not did this year

In this year’s financial disclosure, Boebert was also listed as the “owner/LLC member” of her now-closed restaurant, Shooters Grill. He said in the report that it is “currently an unpaid position.”
The report also states that Jayson Boebert has been trading thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency using investment app Robinhood.
Jayson Boebert was also in the news last week for a disagreement had with his neighbors in Silt in which the police were called. No charges were filed and the deputy was reportedly not involved.
