JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) _ Provident Financial Services Inc . ( PFS ) reported second-quarter net income of $39.2 million on Friday.
The Jersey City, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 53 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 52 cents per share.
The Provident Bank holding company posted revenue of $127.2 million during the period. Its adjusted revenue was $120.4 million.
