Performance Food Group Company Announces Chief Financial Officer Jim Hope to Retire; Transition of the role to Vistar President and COO Patrick Hatcher scheduled for the last quarter of calendar 2022

RICHMOND, Va.–(BUSINESS THREAD)–Performance Food Group Company (PFG) (NYSE: PFGC) today announced the upcoming retirement of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jim Hope and the transition of the role to Patrick Hatcher, President and Chief Operating Officer of Vistar during the last quarter of calendar 2022.

Mr. Hope has had an impressive career in the industry spanning over 35 years. Early in his career with PFG, he led efforts to streamline business operations, strengthen internal best practices, develop PFG’s specialty business, and guide acquisition and operations strategies. As CFO, he has led PFG’s corporate finance department, overseeing accounting, tax, treasury, internal audit, investor relations and financial planning. Before PFG, Mr. Hope held executive leadership positions at Sysco Corporation for 26 years, serving as executive vice president of business transformation, senior vice president of sales and president of the operating company.

Mr. Hatcher is currently Vistar’s president and chief operating officer. He joined Vistar in 2010 and has held various executive leadership positions spanning finance, information technology, sales and marketing, including Vistar’s Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Before joining the PFG family of companies, Mr. Hatcher spent 10 years with MillerCoors in finance and many other roles. He brings global experience from his roles as Senior Producer of Business Development for China.com and Chief Operating Officer of South China Brewing Company. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of NAMA, the convenience services industry association of the United States.

Scott McPherson promoted to executive vice president of PFG

The company has also promoted Scott McPherson to executive vice president of PFG and president and CEO of Convenience. With this promotion, Mr. McPherson will also provide executive oversight of the Vistar segment. He will continue to report to PFG President and COO Craig Hoskins.

Mr. McPherson held numerous leadership positions with Core-Mark, most recently serving as President and CEO. During his 30-year career at Core-Mark, he has held the positions of senior vice president of the company’s North American division, corporate development and operations and business development, and served as president and chief operating officer.
