Veteran Finance Executive To be continued to lead and implement Allen Media Group’s M&A and corporate finance initiatives
THE ANGELS, August 11, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group (AMG) is proud to announce the elevation of Christopher Malone in the position of financial director. Malone was initially brought to AMG in June as executive vice president and head of corporate development, and will now assume the title of chief financial officer, a position most recently held on an interim basis by Bill Higgs, executive vice president and chief financial officer of AMG’s Weather Group division. Higgs, a sixteen-year veteran executive of the company, will continue as executive vice president and chief financial officer of AMG’s Weather Group. In his new position, Malone will continue to help lead AMG’s senior management in mergers and acquisitions efforts and other corporate strategic initiatives that include capital markets, private equity and credit. Malone will remain at AMG headquarters in Los Angeles.

Malone played an integral role in financing notable AMG transactions over the past five years, including AMG’s acquisition of The Weather Channel in 2018 and the 1 billion dollars investment by AMG to acquire 27 television stations affiliated with the ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX broadcast networks nationwide. Malone came to AMG from his most recent position as a director at Stellex Capital Management. Prior to that, Malone was a principal at Brightwood Capital and previously held investment analyst, private equity and investment banking roles at RLJ Equity Partners, William Blair, and Credit Suisse. Malone earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance Hampton University and obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration Harvard Business School.
