Asian Banker has named Deutsche Bank as the “Best International Trade Finance Bank in Asia Pacific” for the fifth consecutive year. This latest high-profile award, along with the bank’s win for Best Treasury & Cash Management Bank in Asia Pacific by The Asset earlier this month, underlines Deutsche Bank’s Trade Finance and Institutional Cash Management (ICM) capabilities in the region
The Asian banker also named Atul Jain, global co-head of finance and commercial lending, as its ‘Transaction Finance Person of the Year’. This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated inspirational leadership, had a strong impact on the sector and contributed significantly to the transformation of their organisation.
Describing Jain as the “undisputed winner”, the publication commented, “From supporting your global anchor customers’ suppliers and distributors in the financing ecosystem to having a future-ready vision of supporting the customers’ clean energy journey and focus on sustainability in project finance, have successfully demonstrated strong vision, courage and fortitude to lead the bank’s trade finance business in times of high uncertainty.”
Top for financing transactions
The Asian banker also recognized the bank’s leadership in international correspondent banking and payments. Deutsche Bank won “Best Global Clearing Bank (Euro & USD) in Asia Pacific” and “Best Global Clearing Bank (Euro) in Asia Pacific”.
These awards come on the heels of 52 awards from The Asset, including Best Cash Management Bank in Asia Pacific.
The Asian Banker Transaction Finance Awards recognize leadership in cash management, trade finance, supply chain finance and payments among financial institutions in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
