Bannock County Fiscal Year 21 Complete Annual Financial Report approved by an independent auditor

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) – On Tuesday, June 28, the Bannock County Clerk’s Office released the Bannock County Complete Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2021. The The Complete Annual Financial Report is a comprehensive and detailed presentation of the county’s financial situation.

State law requires local governments with annual budgets greater than $250,000 to submit a complete, audited financial statement each year.

Independent accounting firm Wipfli, LLP audited the county’s financial statements and found them to be fairly presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

“It’s always nice when you go to the doctor and you’re in good health. This is how I feel [financial report] it is,” Commissioner Ernie Moser said.

The Bannock County Auditor’s Office has often been recognized by the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. For 28 consecutive years, Bannock County has received the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting Excellence from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The Audit Office will once again present the 2021 financial report for this award.
